BILLETS

E-MAX has its own recycling facility (foundry) with a capacity of 80,000 tonnes of billets per year. Within the foundry, there are two production lines, the first of which uses two furnaces. Both are dual-chamber furnaces. The second product line consists of a single chamber furnace that is mainly used to produce special alloys. The casting capacity is 30 tonnes per casting. Ten casting tables are used. Lengths of up to 7.5 metres are poured.

PERFORMANCE

We produce billets in accordance with European standards EN 486 and EN 753. The foundry complies with the ISO 9001 quality standard and also works in accordance with IATF 16949, the ISO 14001 environmental standard, and the ISO 50001 energy standard.

ALLOYS
  • Resmelting aluminium scrap allows local sourcing, which minimizes the footprint.
  • Working with aluminium scrap makes it unnecessary to use a lot of alloying additives – scrap contains all the alloy elements necessary for the relevant specifications
  • Recycling ensures the lowest possible COemissions
  • The combination of foundry and extrusion ensures that there is a wealth of knowledge of and experience with alloys present at one supplier
