The production of primary aluminium requires a lot of energy and therefore has a huge environmental impact. E-MAX has deliberately chosen extrusion with sustainable, low carbon aluminium. This is the reason we invested in our own aluminium foundry back in 2007. That foundry in Kerkrade (NL) processes used aluminium, such as window and door frames, in an extremely professional way to produce sustainable billets. Contaminated, used profiles, for example, are prepared so that no undesirable substances end up in the recycling process, and we use a fully automatic pre-sorting system.
Sustainable billets
Our sustainable billets are of the same high quality as those made from primary aluminium. Finally, we take a cradle-to-cradle approach, carefully considering the end-of-life phase when we design a new profile. What can we do to make it as easy as possible to recycle it again? And we take both the economic and environmental factors into account.
